Women's Cancer Screening

The Salt Lake County Health Department Women's Cancer Screening Program provides free and low cost Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Exams to women ages 40-64 who live in households with an income of up to 250% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).

These guidelines change annually so please check with us again if your income is over the guidelines.

The BeWise Program is a grant funded program that provides FREE cardiovascular risk screenings to low-income, underinsured, or uninsured women ages 50-64. Cardiovasular screenings include: Weight, Height, Body Mass Index (BMI), Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, Glucose (blood sugar) and A1C (for diabetics). Participants in the BeWise Program also receive FREE lifestyle counseling in addition to the cardiovascular screenings and regular Women's Cancer Screening Exams. 

The mission of the BeWise Program is to provide women with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to improve their diet, physical activity, and other life habits to prevent, delay or control cardiovascular and other chronic diseases.

Screening appointments are offered at several locations throughout Salt Lake County. For eligibility and to schedule an appointment call our office at (385) 468-3718
